A common natural gas compression part, typically split across a 2-axis lathe and a 3-axis VMC in three operations. Come see it run complete on the DNX 2100SB. A 3-jaw chuck on each spindle holds the OD, the part transfers automatically from the left to the right spindle, and it is loaded and unloaded once. With robotic tending such as the Halter TurnStacker, the part can run unattended well into the night, raising Total Effective Equipment Performance (TEEP), the true capacity measured across a 168-hour week.
