Due to the current circumstances regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), we have one objective that guides us: keeping you and our employees safe. This has been at the center of all our conversations and we wanted to share with you the current steps we are taking to make our work environments safe for our employees, our suppliers and our customers.
All Ellison employees have been provided specific instructions on the importance of washing their hands, social distancing, and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area identified as posing a coronavirus-related risk; and to follow the CDC guidelines in order to prevent the spread of infection. We have also set a policy that suspends all non-essential International and Domestic travel for our employees.
We all need to be able to operate our businesses as much as possible so we will do our part to work with you, our customers, on a case by case basis. If you require machine support from Ellison; we are requesting to first try any non-contact alternatives for troubleshooting, such as: phone, email, FaceTime, Skype, etc. If onsite support is needed, our employees have been versed on proper protocol, including washing their hands and wiping down all tools and equipment before and after entering facilities; and we ask that you are prepared as well to foster safe working environments.
We will continue to monitor the situation from a business standpoint as well as stay in compliance with any state, local and federal government mandates and directives from the CDC.
