Perfectly suited for the tooling , mold-making, medical and aerospace industries, Die-Sinking EDM provides a proficient method for forming intricate grooves, ridges, and deep recesses into various metallic materials. Using the principle of electrical discharge, Die-Sinking EDM melts and vaporizes metal, carving out complex and profound shapes with precision. We provide options that accommodate small to large components, along with dual-head Die-Sinking EDM machines for enhanced productivity and operational efficiency.
Die-sinking EDM is a process that uses electrical discharges or sparks to remove material from a workpiece. It involves the use of an electrode (often made of graphite or copper) which is shaped into the desired form. The electrode and workpiece are submerged in dielectric fluid, and an electric current is applied. The electrode does not make physical contact with the workpiece; instead, the current creates a series of rapidly recurring electric discharges between the electrode and the workpiece. These discharges vaporize tiny portions of the workpiece, creating a cavity in the shape of the electrode.
